BACKGROUND
The Ladies International Grand Prix started on the initiative of the European Champion Ylva Jansson from Sweden. The first competition took place in Uppsala, Sweden in September 1988 with participants from England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany and Sweden.
Since then the competition has been arranged every year with a growing number of shooters and nations.
The purpose is to unite experienced Olympic Skeet shooters with newcomers to the sport in a high quality competition with a friendly atmosphere.
COMPETITION
150 Targets shot over two days followed by a flash final in each category.
There are two categories A and B. A-shooters have represented their countries in European or World Championships or World Cups. B-shooters are beginners up to the above category. A Shooters that have not represented their countries for the last 10 years start again in the B-category.
Teams must be composed by one A-shooter and two B-shooters. The team members may come from different nations and the team name should be composed by the shooters.
